The Curse Breakers Christmas Shop

This sparkling charm is made with beads carved from the horn of a unicorn, also known as the Alicorn—a gift, obtained in my travels.

The Alicorn is known to cure illness and disease, as well as protect one from poison, and promotes healing and wellness, but only when freely given by a unicorn.

My search for a werewolf cure has taken me many places... most memorably to the Moors of Ireland, where I stumbled upon a beautiful, but curiously stuck, creature.

The unicorn had run his horn straight into the trunk of a hardened old tree, fending shelties away from his territory, he’d said. While his mane was graying with age, and his hooves weren’t as glossy as they used to be, he was stunningly mythic. Even with his head awkwardly bowed and stuck to a tree, there was no other word to use in describing him than ‘majestic.’

After much carving at the bark and fruitless pulling on his withers, I told the old stallion that it seemed the only way to free him would be to

break his horn. At first the horse snorted and stamped his front hooves irritably at the thought of losing half his Alicorn, but begrudgingly, he agreed.

Moments later, as I pocketed my wand, the unicorn was free, and the tree was newly decorated with a spiraling piece of ivory stuck directly into one of its knots. Though he nickered grumpily, the unicorn approached me and bumped the velvet of his whiskery nose against my cheek, in thanks. He told me then if I could retrieve the Alicorn from the tree, that it could be mine, to do with what I wished. Another bump of his nose, a nibble at my hair, and he turned from me, loping away... only to fade into the Ireland fog.
